History

T he Chicago Hunt Club was founded in 1996, by John C. Davidson, who had moved to Chicago from a small town in Western New York State. He initially came to Chicago as a career move, but when he arrived in Chicago he discovered that it was infested with vampires. Mr. Davidson knew that there would probably be vampires in Chicago, after all he had been fighting them for most of his adult life, but he was not prepared for the sheer number of blood sucking undead that were roaming the streets of Chicago. After a bit of investigation he figured out that there were no hunters in Chicago!

A t that point Mr. Davidson knew that he had to build a cadre of hunters. The fate of humanity was at stake and there was no time to lose. At first the Chicago Hunt Club consisted of only John Davidson and the going was tough. There were simply too many vampires and they did not take kindly to their kind being killed off. Fortunately for Chicago Mr. Davidson was better than the vampires had expected. He was better at hiding during the night and he was better at fighting. Those few vampires who managed to track him down quickly joined their brethren that had already been slain.

A fter about a year Mr. Davidson had managed to recruit a few hunters from other cities, as well as a couple from overseas, and had acquired financial backing. Some of that backing took the form of looted antiquities from the deceased vampires but most of it was from private donations from wealthy citizens concerned about humanity. Over the next 5 years The Chicago Hunt Club expanded to nearly 50 hunters and had acquired a permanent headquarters. This headquarters was initially kept secret but it was eventually learned by vampires that the Hunt Club was based out of the Manadnock Building. What the vampires did not know was that the Hunt Club had a full time staff of 30 full time security guards who are made up of ex-soldiers from around the world, all of them with extensive training in fighting vampires and equipped with state of the art weaponry. The undead of Chicago quickly learned to not go near the Manadnock Building. To do so was a sure fire way to meet their maker.

T oday The Chicago Hunt Club consists of nearly 100 hunters spread out throughout Chicago itself and the surrounding suburbs, as well as a cadre of 50 security guards at the Club headquarters. The Club has also taken over the top three floors of the Manadnock building and has established several safe houses throughout the city. The existence of these safehouses is generally known to many, but their locations are a closely guarded secret. The vampires in Chicago have learned do be extremely careful when they travel about at night and they have learned to hide very well at night. Their numbers are nowhere near as great as they used to be, but there are still enough of them around to be a threat to mankind. The members of the Hunt Club come from all walks of life, from all backgrounds, and are dedicated to preserving humanity. They operate unseen throughout the Chicago area, studying the people of Chicago, learning which ones are vampires, finding out where they live, and then slaying the undead monsters.
